Synchronizing Data with Outlook
In order to synchronize Contact/Calendar data, the Practice Information Powertool 2010
compares each data field for modifications. If a data field in your PIP Contacts/Calendar
is different than a data field in Outlook, you are presented with a screen that allows you
to choose which Contact/Calendar record is the most up-to-date. Modified fields are highlighted in
yellow so they can be easily identified.

Uploading and Downloading Contact/Calendar Data
The Upload and Download features were designed to allow you to quickly update all of your Contact/Calendar data
in one simple operation.
For new customers who already use Outlook to store their Contact data, the
"Download ALL Contacts from Outlook..." feature will immediately populate your PIP Contacts Module with data,
alleviating the need for manual entry of your Contact data. The same process is available for downloading
Calendar Events from Outlook. Once the Calendar Events are in the PIP, you can assign the events to their
respective case files.
For current PIP users, the synchronization modules provide a quick and convenient way to transfer
PIP Contact/Calendar data to your Smartphone. Use the "Upload ALL ..." feature to send the specified group of
Contacts/Calendar Events to Outlook, and then sync your Smartphone with Outlook. It's that easy!
